Take and Record Baseline Measurements
We document performance metrics to verify that the machine operates within manufacturer specifications and identify potential issues.
We check:
- Inlet water flow rate (GPM)
- Inlet water temperature
- Water temperature during chilling cycle
- Incoming voltage
- Electrical systems (motors, relays, switches, capacitors, circuit boards)
- Amp draw on fans and compressor
- Electrical disconnect and whip condition
- Ice thickness gauge accuracy
- Weight of each ice batch versus expected standards
By comparing these readings to the manufacturer’s service manual, we can predict potential failures (like capacitor or compressor damage) and address them before they occur.
